Confessing To The Light
Personal, Book Design
Confessing to The Light was an book-format expression regarding my self-esteem as a designer (at the time) and how I've had trouble finding a style of my own whilst borrowing aspects from designers better than myself.
In short, copying work I liked didn’t help develop my identity as a designer, but rather diminished it altogether.
Treating each page as the "highs" and "lows", the multiple-format style correlates to the moods I went throughin the past six months during university. The "emblems" were created as personal achievements for each revelation in those months.
There were multiple written renditions when I tried to sum up the last half-year, but I decided this visual booklet was the most appealing and honest.
Nonetheless, I do hope you enjoy the project as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
