Designing blog headers was my first and only task when I was hired in 2017 as a Communications Designer at Figma.
It felt like boring work at first: read the article, make an image for it, bring it to crit, publish. However, I soon came to realize that I’ve learned a great deal about the tool, the company, and writing through continuous publications.
To be able to distill a few thousand words into an image is, by no means, an easy feat. I’ve come to really appreciate blog headers on the websites of other companies and learning the art of brevity, simple communication, and whimsical flair through practice and observation.
